HE’S BACK UP THE HILL AGAIN. dust? Absolutely, scuffs most definitely, dignity slightly redeemed. this is a cautionary tale wearing a helmet. fumbled the bag but stayed humble.

@EmanDzombo

i had a dream and a body built for it. senior season, championship game, the one where the scouts actually show up. broke my ankle and my elbow on the same play. emergency surgery. scholarship gone. career over before it started, which is the worst way for a thing to end. so i became a rapper. wrote the greatest songs nobody in the western hemisphere ever heard. gave it years. years. then i grew plants in the mountains and brought them to the city and got jumped and robbed for all of it. broke, lost, lonely, drinking, picking fights because the world had it coming. girlfriend was cheating the whole time i was gone. so i changed strategy. started jumping in an icy creek every morning. sat in the woods until my head went quiet. went back to college at 28 like a grown ass adult and got back on the mat, wrestling again, chasing a pro fight card this time. found the purpose i’d lost. somewhere in there i took mushrooms and the universe explained itself to me. told me i was in the prophecy. told me we’re all wired into the same current and most people never look at the wire. i tried growing weed to fund it and smoked all of it myself. got high on my own supply. dropped out. never finished the degree. been coaching and reffing wrestling for gas money since. nothing left to lose. everything to gain. i put my last sixty into a meme coin. not twenty. sixty. three times the recommended dose. it was a meme and a dream. they see: meathead. stoner. viking. adrenaline junkie who peaked in high school. i am: an oracle who read the symbols and came back to tell you, and you didn’t listen because i was wearing a singlet. that’s the joke. that’s the whole thing.

09 Two-panel scene: a soaked woman shivering by a cooler in the woods while Twenty leans against a tree in the rain, then a bruised woman walking alone down a dark rainy road.

official cameo #009

“Skipped the gas money for a party in the woods. Walked to work hungover in the rain.”

I was supposed to get gas so I could go to work the next morning, but when I got home my friends were going out to some party in the woods like 20 something miles away from our house. So I changed my clothes, grabbed my gas money and hopped in their car. The whole stupid thing was outside under some trees and it poured freaking rain on me, I got soaked as all hell, and was pissed as. My outfit also didn’t leave much to the imagination so I was shivering and cold. I decided I wanted to get drunk, but had no money for alcohol so instead I found some guy with a cooler and listened to him talk about something mind numbingly boring for over an hour just so he’d offer me a drink. I finally got my alcohol and got stumbling drunk. I had to walk to work the next morning in the rain with a hangover.

10 A man sitting on the steps of a lit family-owned corner shop, phone in hand, while Twenty slumps in an armchair on the sidewalk against a cold glass bank skyline.

official cameo #010

“Looked at the banks, the greed, the whole broken game. Put my last $20 on people who actually give a damn.”

i was down to my last $20 and i looked at the state of this world and financial institutions and the mistrust and the just pure greed going on around us, and wondered how do i get involved in something that i can get behind a collective of people who just want to change it up and make some money for their family and just live a good life in this economy so i decided to put my money and my effort behind a good group of people, a project i believe in and people who are motivated to break the mold and gain some financial freedom for themselves or the people they care about. I always loved a good mom and pop shop or a family owned business.

11 Two-panel scene: a frog-like figure pumping gas beside a slumped Twenty, then working a thrift-store counter.

georgebuilding2

official cameo #011

“Had $20 left. Rent due in days. Spent $10 on gas, $10 on a thrift shirt. Drove around applying everywhere. One place hired me on the spot. Worked hungry that first week. Made rent. Still here.”
12 A man and his dog beside a burn barrel, watching a coin's chart crash on his phone while Twenty burns a coin in tongs over the fire.

mmadummuo

official cameo #012

“Down to the final $20 and already pissed off, took a revenge gamble on a pump.fun callout. Four minutes later, watching $20 collapse to $4, then $1, pure rage took over. Sold the dust, burned the tokens, closed the tab. -$20 flat.”
13 A man drawing in a sketchbook at a kitchen table under a desk lamp, his dog asleep at his feet, while Twenty slumps in an armchair across the room.

Steeze

official cameo #013

“My wife, Emily, and I were attached at the hip for 15 years. After she passed, everything fell apart financially. Now I’m trying to climb out of this hole, but instead of using a shovel, I’m using a napkin. Sometimes $20 isn’t money. It’s a lifeline.”

02how a story gets on this wall

no application, no form to fill in. you tell it, and if it’s real it gets drawn.

from a story to a cameo

  1. you tell it

post the true story of your last $20 and tag @LastTwenty20, or say it in the community.

  2. it gets drawn

the dev illustrates it as an official cameo, in the archive’s own style.

  3. your name stays on it

every cameo is credited to the person whose story it is. that never gets removed.

  4. it feeds the show

the archive is where still here, the animated series in the works, gets its people.
